A good product sabotaged by poor assembly in China. Many people at the Amazon.com site mention imperfections. So when I received mine from this seller Yes I found a defect. The manual Stop function doesn't work. I'll have to be bothered fixing it under warranty. Your defect might be different or you may get a good one.
On the good side, it's a quality turntable. The first player I've had that doesn't have hum. You need to assemble it by attaching the platter yourself.
Can't attach speakers directly to it, need a stereo system with inputs or some kind of powered speakers. Has pre-amp with RIAA Equalization and connects nicely to a computer or tape recorder.
For better workmanship these companies should avoid nations that are liberal, and try more conservative types for better technical skill. Or maybe the problem is women on assembly, without a clue. Maybe consider Brazil or Philippines.
