Shipping & Returns

Our Shipping Policy

Canada-Wide Free Shipping

  • Most items ship for free to most locations in Canada.
  • If an item ships for free, an icon will appear that says Canada-Wide Free Shipping next to the price.
  • Free shipping service is always insured.
  • Free shipping requires a signature upon receipt, unless specific arrangements are made.
  • electronicsforless.ca trusts Purolator Courier, Canada Post or LTL shipping companies for Canada-Wide Free Shipping.

Canada-Wide Free Shipping Restrictions

  • The actual shipping cost cannot exceed 10% of the price of the product being purchased.
  • Orders ship by surface or ground service.
  • Express shipping is not eligible for free shipping but can be arranged. contact us
  • Some sale-priced and clearance items may not be eligible for free shipping. In addition, certain heavy items such as TV stands and mounts may not be eligible for free shipping

Flat Rate Shipping

  • Some items have Flat Rate Shipping costs associated near the item price. In these cases, this is an applied cost for Canada-wide shipping; otherwise the policy for Flat Rate Shipping is the same as Canada-Wide Free Shipping.

Normal Shipping Time and Cut Offs

  • Shipping cut-off for same-day shipping is at 3pm EST.
  • We ship out within 24 to 48 hours after an order is received. While electronicsforless.ca ships orders as quickly as possible, bundled, personalize, custom-configured, and more popular items may have shipping times up to 48 hours. This means two business days, not including statutory holidays, following a purchase.

Checkout Message: This item normally ships out within 24 hours.

  • This message appears in the checkout when an item has a computed history of shipping within one day.
  • This is an estimation only and is not guaranteed.
  • It is based on computed inventory and shipping history only and does not account for human error or backordered inventory .

Order Tracking

  • Orders may be tracked from the customer account or from a link sent via email shipping confirmation.
  • It may take a few hours for a tracking number to become active following the shipping confirmation email.

  • Our default courier is Purolator Courier for Free Canada-Wide Shipping
  • The Purolator Shipping Calculator button on the item pages is to be used as a cost and time estimator guide only.
  • The appearance of the Purolator Courier Shipping Calculator does not necessarily indicate that an item will ship with Purolator
  • If an order must be shipped with Purolator, select the paid option in the checkout.

In-cart Checkout Shipping Calculator

  • If you checkout with items in your shopping cart and you have not entered any shipping information, our server will estimate shipping costs, based on your IP address (geolocation). To have the most accurate shipping quote, please enter your shipping criteria or create a customer account.

Shipping Delays

  • If a shipment is delayed for more than two business days, an email describing the delay with an ETA will be sent.
  • Orders can be cancelled any time if an order has not been shipped out with a tracking number.

Shipping Schedule

  • Our shipping department is closed on Saturdays and Sundays
  • We do not ship orders on Statutory Holidays (including): New Year's Day, Family Day (Third Monday in February), Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Simcoe Day (First Monday in August), Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Shipping Cancellations

  • We reserve the right to cancel an order without notification if the order is not shipped. In this case, electronicsforless.ca will refund the customer's credit card or PayPal transaction in full.
  • We may not inform the customer if a fraudulent purchase is suspected.
  • Please contact us if you believe your order was canceled accidentally.

Pickup Counter - Richmond Hill, ON

Available only in Richmond Hill, Ontario, select this option during checkout or contact us.

  • Minimum one full business day is required for this service
  • Pickup must be scheduled prior to arrival. contact us
  • If using Visa or MC, please bring the credit card used for the purchase plus valid Canadian ID.
  • If using PayPal, a printout of the PayPal confirmation is required plus a valid Canadian ID.

Rural address or Complicated Delivery

  • Please contact us to discuss a customized delivery strategy if your order requires special arrangements or delivery instructions.

Canadian Isolated or Distance orders

  • The three territories of Canada and some isolated rural areas are considered Distance Orders.
  • Items under 15lbs (7kg) can be shipped anywhere in Canada.
  • Large items over 15lbs (7kg) may have shipping limitations
    If the actual shipping cost on large items exceed the automatically calculated costs, we will contact you with an exact quote. If after this notification you do not accept the actual shipping costs, your order will cancelled and refunded immediately upon your request.

Shipping Large TVs

  • All plasma televisions and most LED televisions over 40 inches are shipped in their original box, pelleted and wrapped to the pallet. This guarantees the package is not shipped on its side or stacked.
  • Courier Companies - We use fully insured light truck load shipping companies so that your TV is handled with care and not 'processed and sorted'.

USA & International Shipping

  • electronicsforless.ca ships to the USA (lower 48 states). We do not include shipments to Hawaii or Alaska when quoting shipping costs to the USA.
  • electronicsforless.ca does not receive orders outside of the USA or Canada through our online shopping cart. If you would like to purchase from an international location, contact us.
  • Orders placed from computers outside of continental Canada or United States (determined by IP address) may not be shipped. If you would like to purchase from a computer outside of Canada or United States, contact us.
  • We do not ship to US Post office addresses.

US Customs

  • We are obligated by law to include the correct costs on all paperwork traveling over the border and therefore maintain no responsibility for fees, if any, charged by US customs. These fees, if any, are not included in fixed S/H charges, nor quotes provided by us.

Confirmed Address & Credit Cards and PayPal

Items of considerable value may only be shipped to:

  • Buyers with 'PayPal confirmed' addresses (USA only)
  • Buyers with Major Credit Cards confirmation
  • Buyers paying with money order or cashiers cheque / confirmed (USA or Canada)
    Signatures are always required upon delivery of our items.

Our Return Policy

We value you as a customer and your satisfaction is important to us. We want to make your online shopping experience uncomplicated and risk-free. electronicsforless.ca offers competitive pricing, helpful information, the best customer service and secure ordering. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and with the service you receive. Everything listed on our website is unconditionally guaranteed. If you are not satisfied with something, please send it back within 14 days of receipt and we will gladly exchange, credit, or refund the cost of the item under our Standard Return Policy unless otherwise detailed under our Limited Return Policy.

Standard Return Policy

Your satisfaction is what counts at electronicsforless.ca. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly accept your return or exchange on most products within 14 days. Please contact us at 888-248-4969 for further details. Please note that certain items are considered special orders or consumables, and these products may not be returnable.

Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. While we offer free shipping for most of our products, the original shipping charges and handling fees for the returned item(s) will be deducted from the refund. In addition there may be a restocking fee which will be deducted from your refund should you wish to make a return. If the item is refused and returned to the manufacturer, any return freight costs will also be deducted from the refund.

For products that arrive damaged or out of error or cannot be fixed with replacement parts, electronicsforless.ca will pay for a replacement to be shipped if the damage, shortage or mis-shipment is properly signed for. If damage, shortage or loss is not signed for, the manufacturer may not be able to ship replacements. Please consult our replacements policy for further details. If the customer does not want parts or a replacement unit, the product may be returned for credit as detailed above.

All canceled orders will be confirmed by electronicsforless.ca in writing: if you have not received a confirmation, your order has not been canceled. Orders that have been shipped cannot be canceled and costs for round-trip shipping will be deducted from refunds if orders are refused. Orders that are refused are still considered returns, and as such, the restocking fee and shipping costs both ways will be incurred as detailed above.

Any order that is refused or returned because the customer does not like the product, no longer wants the product, or believed the order was canceled is considered a 'buyer's remorse return', and credit will be issued as detailed above.

All credits for returned items will be processed once the products are returned to the distribution center. If you have any questions regarding our return policy before or after placing an order, please contact our customer service department at toll-free 888-248-4969.

Limited Return Policy

Some items are considered final sale and cannot be returned:

  • Electric shavers, home spa products and dental product cannot be returned if opened.
  • AV furniture that has been assembled or removed from its original packaging.
  • Consumables in the form of batteries, recordable CDs/DVDs, cassette tapes or lighbulbs cannot be returned.

Headphones

For health and safety reasons, no returns will be accepted on any opened pairs of headphones or earbuds. Under extreme circumstances, any returns for headphones and earbuds will be charged a mandatory 25%* restocking fee (*revised May 09, 2014). Shipping charges will not be refunded.

Furniture and Speaker Stands

TV stands, wooden furniture, credenzas, speaker stands and audio racks have a one week parts replacement policy if you discover concealed damage upon receiving the item. You have seven (7) days to report it after receiving your order. Just contact us using the RMA request found in the footer of our website. TV stands, wooden furniture, credenzas, speaker stands and audio racks are considered final sale and are not considered for the Standard Return Policy.

Final Sale Items

Some items are sold under the condition of 'Final Sale'. Final-Sale items are not considered for the Standard Return Policy.
