How It Works

A small microphone inside the headphones collects ambient sound (traffic noise, for example) and noise cancelling circuitry analyses its signal waveform (A). The headphones then generate an inverted waveform that is the exact negative of the ambient sound (B). By overlaying the original sound with the inverted sound (C), they neutralise each other - so the only thing you hear is your music.
