Returns & Exchanges : Refund Policy
Refunds are only issued to orders that are returned with an assigned RA number. The refund will be issued when the RA process has completed.
We Are Not a Retail Brick-and-Mortar Store
With traditional in-store refunds, the evidence of the refund is immediate and unquestioned since it is done in person. The product is returned in person, inspected on the sales floor, and the card is swiped for the refund. Although the hard-copy refund receipt is provided, the actual monetary refund can take up to seven days to reflect in the cardholder's account. This delay is common and accepted, as the refund is backed by a receipt and an in-person process.
For our online business, refunds are not immediately processed when returned items arrive via courier. Returned products are identified, sorted, and inspected in sequence with other returns. Typically, the credit card refund is processed approximately seven days following inspection, as refunds are processed once per week with our accounts officer. After processing, credit card issuers may take up to seven additional days to reflect the refund on the cardholder’s account.
The entire refund process is normally completed within one to ten days; however, in some cases, funds may take over a month from the time the returned order is received.
If there are complications with a return that go against our return policies (such as product use, packaging damage, or incorrect items being returned), the process may take longer, as restocking fees and investigations may be required.
We ask our customers for patience while refunds are processed. Many steps occur before a refund appears on a cardholder’s account, and this process differs significantly from in-store retail refunds.
SVS Subwoofers
SVS subwoofers are non-refundable but may be exchanged or upgraded when returned for any product sold on our website. SVS subwoofers are backed by the SVS Bill of Rights.
Credit Card Chargeback and Dispute Policy
If a chargeback dispute is threatened or filed with a credit card company, we are unable to assist with the refund. Once a dispute is in process, the account is no longer under our control. We kindly ask customers to refrain from filing disputes prematurely, as refunds take time to process.
Please only file a dispute with your credit card company if you are unwilling to work with us directly.
Third Party Dispute Policy
Our return and cancellation policies are clearly listed on our website, within our help pages, and on individual product listings. These policies form part of our website’s terms and conditions. By placing an order online or by phone, we assume the customer has reviewed and understands these policies.
Returns Refund/Exchange Disputes: If a shopper engages a third-party dispute resolution service or payment provider, the RMA process will be halted until the dispute has been resolved or withdrawn.
Cancellations Refund Disputes: If a shopper engages a third-party dispute resolution service or payment provider, the RMA process will be halted until the dispute has been resolved or withdrawn.
Third Party Dispute Communication Policy
If a shopper chooses to involve a third party to resolve a dispute, our customer service team will no longer communicate directly with the customer. This is because the customer has elected not to work with Electronics For Less Canada directly under the policies outlined herein.
Repeated calls or emails regarding the same issue, after an answer has already been provided, may not receive further responses. Incoming communications may be archived. Our customer service team does not have the ability to block phone numbers individually; however, our telephone service provider may do so based on spam rules. If this occurs in error, we ask that customers wait one hour before attempting to call again.
Note: If payment was made in cash, by cheque over $250, or by debit card without a major credit card logo or PayPal, refunds will be issued by cheque within 10 business days. Any amounts deducted from digital credit (such as gift cards) will be credited to the customer account.
