About Our Products : Dead Pixel Policy
Defective Pixels on Televisions
Televisions sold by electronicsforless.ca are generally covered by a 14-day standard return period. If you believe your television has a dead or stuck pixel, you may request a return authorization through your Order Dashboard.
Because dead pixel allowances are determined by manufacturer specifications, our standard return policy applies. This means that return shipping costs and any applicable restocking fees are honored until the manufacturer has inspected the product at our facility.
In many cases, we recommend contacting the manufacturer directly within the 14-day return period. Manufacturers can often resolve dead pixel concerns more quickly and conveniently. Our product specialists are also available to assist you when working with the manufacturer.
Depending on screen resolution, a modern television contains approximately 1 million to over 8.3 million pixels. Because of this, manufacturers evaluate dead or stuck pixels based on specific criteria.
Resolutions & Pixel Counts
- 1366 × 768 — 1,049,088 pixels
- 1920 × 1080 (Full HD) — 2,073,600 pixels
- 3840 × 2160 (4K UHD) — 8,294,400 pixels
When assessing a dead or stuck pixel issue, manufacturers typically consider:
- The total number of affected pixels
- The location of the affected pixels on the screen
- The color of the affected pixels
- The overall screen size and resolution
If you believe your television has a significant dead pixel issue, we recommend gathering the information above before contacting support.
