Great DAC/amp! More expensive than a dongle, but the results are worth it. Using it on my Android tablet & phone with KZ in-ear monitors (ZS10 and PR1 models, via the 4.4mm balanced plug), and really like the quality of sound for music and movies. Battery life is decent - I use it almost every evening for an hour or two and find I can go a few days before recharging. The FiiO control app to manage the amp has a bit of the 'poor translation' symptoms but it's still workable, and I did have a bit of a time to get it to update the firmware properly to the latest version: I found that if you stop the FiiO app, clear the cache, and ensure that all other media apps (such as Tidal or Youtube Music) are force-stopped via the Settings - App section; the firmware update did complete properly. The other apps were probably trying to connect via Bluetooth and interrupting the final part of the firmware update process. Highly recommended if you have the budget for this, I was looking at other brands but kept coming back to the BTR7.
