I've been testing these for quite for some time now... I had a hard time adjusting to these headphones because they are closed and I am used to the open-back headphones. I felt a bit claustrophobic with them on my head and was difficult to shake off but after a week these headphones are quite amazing in their own regard. These are great if you need the enclosure and sound isolation from a closed back but the spacious "expansive" feeling and detailed "highs" of each song.
I originally wanted to purchase the HD800s but the Sennheiser factory had some issues which is not EFLC's fault, and as always their customer support team has been nothing short of being stellar.
The issue some people may have with this headphone is that it is much so amp/dac dependent as the HD800s. I've tried several different amp/dac and they all very much sound different, some of them sound displeasing. Best sounding option is currently FiiO M15 DAP. The fit is based on your head, you need to get a decent seal with them so it will take some time for you to find the "perfect" fit to get the proper freq response.
Not sure why people are saying bass is bloated/distorted, I can't hear it. It is pretty impactful and extends a bit but nothing that is "distorted". It isn't as punchy as open headphones but still very resolving. It isn't as wub wub as some Bass heads like but it is CLEAN. Overall solid choice if you like closed backs, detailed highs and deep bass.
