My home theatre has 6 Definitive Technology speakers, driven by a Denon amp. The 2 front towers had built in subs, but both sub amps began to hum so I disconnected them and ran without any sub for a few years. Then I treated myself to the SVS PB 1000 PRO and the best word I can think of is WOW! The Definitive Technology tower subs were okay but nothing like the SVS sub. This baby has added a whole new dimension to my sound system. I was able to place it between the 2 front towers, and now I have a "wall of sound". I'm hearing sounds that I never would have heard before. IMHO, SVS is the best bang for the buck sub.

My first purchase at Electronics for Less. Easy to buy. Good delivery service. Manufacturer's phone support was great. What's not to like? The sub itself performs really well... even in a pretty large room. Base is a bit spotty, but that's normal. I've come to LOVE the app. Lots of controllable variables. Very impressed with both eflc and SVS.

PB1000 Pro is pretty nuts. I replaced my 2 older subs with 1 PRO and was so blown away I had to get another. The musicality and sound pressure is outstanding and the app is the cherry on top. The depth these ‘entry’ level subs hit is amazing. I paired them with SVSs Soundpath feet which take them to a whole other level.

This is what a subwoofer is supposed to sound like. Got this as a little gift to myself, been wanting an SVS subwoofer for a long time. I always thought you could get comparable performance out of used/older gear. This is not the case. SVS is in a league of its own. The amplifier inside has enough juice for even a modest-sized home theater. You will never actually push this to its limits under normal listening circumstances. I went with the ported box, since you can utilize plugs to make it behave like a sealed unit. This subwoofer is accurate, powerful, and subtle when it needs to be. on lower volumes it blends in with the tower speakers impeccably well, sometimes you forget you have a subwoofer doing it's own thing. Crank it up though, and it will step up to deliver some heavy hitting base. Seems to really like jazz, rock, and EDM for music. An absolute beast for movies and home theater. EFLC got this out to me the next business day as well, and shipping was fast despite it being Canpar (worst courier in my experience). I can not recommend this sub enough for the price; upgrading from here is at least 2-3X the cost and diminishing returns start to enter that conversation.

First subwoofer bought and placed in a 5.1.4 setup and at 80Hz crossover, I can't think it could get better. It literally shakes the foundation of my small house. I'm thinking of getting another sub for a dual configuration, but bought this couple months back for only $820CAD and now it's priced at $200 more so I might have to wait for Black Friday pricing or Boxing Day to finally get a second one.

This PB-1000 PRO replaces the old PB-1000. It's improvement in every way! Bigger driver, more power and phone app control. I can't think of any subwoofer around this price which performs better.

My Polk PSW125 12" fell victim to its design flaws after 11 strong years, so I did really well, but it was time for an upgrade. To the internet I went to start the arduous process of combing through reviews to see what was next. It didn't take too long to come across SVS and their subs. To be honest I had never even heard of SVS up until a week ago. After checking the website, watching some Youtube, and looking over the specs - it was a no brainer that SVS was my top choice. I chose the PB1000Pro (ported) as I primarily use my sub for movies and I wanted the extra range and pop that the ported model added. Plus, with the ability to easily plug the ports and reconfigure the sub through the app to a sealed unit, it made this like a 2 for 1 purchase for a nominal increase in price. After connecting and running Audyssey, it 100% took a slight bump up from where my Denon 3700H + Audyssey set things at, but a slight bump up from -16db to -10db made things come alive. It's literally night and day from my old Polk 12" sub. You can feel the bass all through the room and it is so well balanced. I could only place it on the side wall in 1 location - but with the variable phase and additional tuning options in the app I feel as though the location did not hamper my ability for performance. The app is the cherry on top that makes this sub even more incredible. Easy db adjustments from the couch, presets, advanced parameter adjustments, and quick support can't be beat. The presets make it so easy to pull it all back for late night watching and enabling "wife mode", music, or full out movie chaos. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and haven't been this happy with a purchase in a long time.

This SVS sub is the first time I'm not using a cheap sub from a home theatre in a box and all I can say is WOW. We can now feel our movies and shows in a way I didn't know was possible. When I first set it up and played some music, I just sat with a huge grin on my face. It produces an accurate, tight punchy that always sounds right, and has the ability to blow you away when needed. I did over a week of research before settling on the PB-1000 Pro and would make the exact same decision if I had to do it again. Kudos the EFLC for being one of the only authorized SVS dealers in Canada, the sub got to me in Calgary in 2 days which is amazing.

This subwoofer ROCKS If you’re looking for an affordable subwoofer this is definitely one to check out, with our limited selection compared to the USA dare I say this is the best subwoofer available in Canada at this price point? I guarantee this subwoofer hits harder and will go lower than anything sold at the big box stores. I’ve been rewatching movies and listening to music and hearing (and feeling) frequencies I’ve never experienced before. Definitely won’t be my last SVS purchase.

I wanted a new more powerful subwoofer and looked for a long time. I really could not afford what I wanted when suddenly the SVS PB 1000 Pro was introduced. I watched all the reviews and did my research. It was exactly what I wanted and I could afford it. I ordered one immediately. It took longer than what I have become accustomed to to arrive but when it did it was perfect. I put it in place and set it up. My plan was to eventually buy a second one to balance the room but this does so well I do not need a second one. I am happy.

I had a Martin Logan Sub in my Home Theater for a very long time. It's not an exaggeration to say I have been re-watching movies and finding rumbles and sounds I never heard before. Also, use this for music listening and it's fairly tight for a ported sub! I have a 14x17 x 7.5 listening room and this thing is more than enough. 2 Subwoofers was the original plan and it would be overkill
