If you can handle the size of this, there is nothing else better. Coming from 12 inch and 15 inch ported subs in the past the space this thing takes up is pretty ridiculous. Does anyone need a sub this big for a home theater... Not really. But if you have the money and the space it's huge amounts of deep and clean bass. If you turn it up it will literally shake the floors above. I have this in a basement home theater/living room and it shakes the floor upstairs to earthquake levels. But when needed it's quiet and composed. The app is really good, the remote is alright but I don't really use it. Get someone to help you carry the box inside. Then get a furniture mover to make this easier to deal with. It's possible for 1 person to lift for a short period when outside of the box (not easily). I had help carrying it into the basement then used a furniture mover dolly to get it closer to where I wanted it. Then unpacked and moved into position myself. Not a fan of the metal grill, but everything else is just spectacular. I went back and forth about this for awhile, but in the end I am happy I have one. I will never get 2 because of how much space it takes up. For a second sub I have a Klipsch R-115sw, this is in another league in both low frequencies and size. The Klipsch is a great sub, this is something else. Black ash was what I went with as I know how easily the piano black would get scratched. In a dark room at a distance it looks like piano black. it's expensive but you get what you pay for. It does literally get delivered on a pallet to your door.
