Monster Cable 250SV High-Performance S-Video Cable BLACK

The Monster Cable 250SV is a high-performance analog S-Video interconnect designed to deliver clear, detailed video signals between compatible home entertainment components. Featuring precision-engineered 4-pin S-Video connectors, gold-coloured contacts and a durable black cable jacket, the 250SV provides a reliable connection for televisions, DVD players, VCRs, satellite receivers and other equipment equipped with S-Video connections.

Unlike conventional composite video connections, which combine picture information into a single signal, S-Video transmits luminance (brightness) and chrominance (colour) information separately. This helps reduce interference between picture components, improving colour separation, edge definition and overall picture clarity when used with compatible equipment.

The Monster Cable 250SV features robust connector housings with metallic finishes and textured grip sections for convenient installation and removal. Its flexible black cable construction makes it suitable for connecting components in home theatre systems, entertainment cabinets and legacy audio/video installations.

High-Performance S-Video Connectivity

The 250SV uses standard 4-pin Mini-DIN S-Video connectors to transmit analog video between compatible source equipment and displays. By maintaining separate luminance and chrominance signal paths, S-Video provides improved picture separation compared with a conventional single-connector composite video connection.

This makes the cable particularly useful for connecting compatible DVD players, S-VHS VCRs, satellite receivers, video game consoles and other legacy video sources to televisions or displays equipped with an S-Video input.

Gold-Coloured Precision Connectors

The cable features gold-coloured S-Video connector contacts designed to provide a secure electrical interface with compatible 4-pin Mini-DIN ports. The connectors are enclosed in substantial metallic housings with textured black grip sections for convenient handling.

This connector design helps users make secure connections while reducing the need to pull directly on the cable during installation or equipment changes.

Separate Brightness and Colour Transmission

S-Video, also known as Separate Video or Y/C Video, uses dedicated signal paths for brightness and colour information. This separation helps reduce the cross-colour artifacts and picture interference commonly associated with composite video connections.

When used with compatible source equipment and displays, the result can be improved edge definition, more consistent colour reproduction and a cleaner analog video presentation.

Durable Cable Construction

The Monster Cable 250SV features a flexible black outer jacket designed for routing between home entertainment components. Its robust connector assemblies provide convenient handling during installation, making the cable suitable for equipment racks, entertainment cabinets and traditional home theatre systems.

Ideal for Legacy Home Entertainment Systems

The 250SV is designed for equipment that uses analog S-Video connections rather than modern HDMI interfaces. It is particularly useful when maintaining older television systems, connecting classic video components or preserving compatibility with legacy home entertainment equipment.

The cable carries video only. Audio requires a separate compatible audio connection, such as stereo RCA cables.
