The IT-REFERENCE 15i also features comprehensive, virtually maintenance-free protection from voltage spikes and surges. This assures the highest level of AC protection possible, without sacrificing itself when the offending surge is severe — no damaged equipment, no service calls, no down time.

Additionally, the IT-REFERENCE 15i employs our unique Power Factor Technology circuit. With this technology, low-level analog, digital, and video components are not modulated or distorted via the power amplifier's extreme AC current demands. Instead, the power amplifier sees a highly filtered, extremely low-impedance supply of AC power.

Amazing reference quality power conditioner from Furman. I had the Furman Elite 15 PFI, but the filter on this unit and weight is a lot more substantial. I noticed a quieter soundstage and that brings out more details. Worth it =)

The Furman IT-REF-15I replaced a 12 year old PS Audio Premier Power Plant that was damaged when my hydro line came down in a storm that caused a massive power surge throughout my home. I was very happy with the Power Plant and didn't think that my hydro could be improved much more, certainly not enough to make an audible improvement to my stereo system. I've had the Furman powered up and running my stereo for just over 2 weeks now. I wasn't expecting to notice much difference in sound quality, perhaps a few subtle details over time. I was wrong. I feel like I'm listening to a whole new stereo system. All of the audiophile superlatives apply. Every aspect of sound quality has improved. Highly recommended!
