I wrote a fairly damning review because I could not get this unit online no matter what i did.
I ended up buying and Ethernet cable , was able to connect the speaker to the internet updated the speaker and have had very little issues all day using it in Wifi mode. App is a bit spotty but nothing major. for the sale prices these are a good bargain for the dollar.

I have been trying all day to connect this thing to wifi and no way will it connect. Not even through Spotify premium. It will see the speaker but will not connect. Bluetooth only and sound is just okay. I am returning mine asap.
I cannot recommend it as a wifi speaker and for Bluetooth its just okay....
