I am very pleased and satisfied with this HTIB package from Onkyo. I upgraded from a quality Yamaha sound bar / sub setup and I was a bit skeptical of the “difference” in overall listening enjoyment on a day to day basis, not just on movie night. My wife also gave me the big eye roll as she thought the sound was already good enough. The sound upgrade was extraordinary. I’m no professional but I love good sound and am pretty critical of sound and picture quality in the audio visual pieces. I don’t have much to compare this new system to, but it is a crisp defined sound output with little of no distortion at moderately high levels. The quality of your source will dictate just how loud it can go before losing quality, this is not the products limitation. The set up was easy and the directions were clear. The included microphone for sound balancing was a great addition and really seemed to make a difference. The 4K upsourcing seems to improve the quality of the picture on my oled tv and certainly doesn’t take anything away from the integration with the tv and cable box. The sub on this thing is a beast ! It’s fantastic. But not overwhelming to the balanced sound output. Overall, I hear way more detail in all of my programming as a result of this system. And movie night has never been more immersive. Great box package.
