I purchased a pair in Walnut with the light coloured linen grills. They are connected to a 1977 Technics 5370 receiver that puts out 48 Watts per channel and they sound amazing. I listen to rock and metal from classic to modern and my wife is going through a Taylor Swift phase right now and it all sounds great. I will caution you that when I first hooked them up and played my reference track (Pneuma by Tool) I was disappointed and immediately assumed that they were over hyped. HOWEVER, they just seemed to get better and better every day for the next 2 or 3 weeks until they reached this detailed, slightly energetic sound, with fast big bass that I can't get enough of. They were back ordered for a long time but the guys at ELC didn't charge me until they shipped and they were always available with updates on delivery. I also got a great deal on them. ELC will be my go to shop for audio equipment going forward.
