It does sound like the HD 800s without the exaggerated energy in the high frequency.
I enjoy it very much as a secondary set.
I use it in the morning when I want a smooth listening session without too much Bass and highs, but still super detailed and large soundstage.
Great "cheap" IEM for my liking it's very good.
Good for metal music.
