These Magnat Transpuls 1000's are truly amazing speakers. Sound is crisp with great depth, just stunning. No need for subs really! Beautiful build, style, and the symmetrical drivers are really something to behold. The angled stands & grilles, the heavy strong materials, cone quality, wood finish & dark color I could go on and on. Perfect to me.

Interesting speaker that needs break in. When I first got them, they were boomy, veiled in the midrange and had some tweeter break up with female vocals and trumpets. 30-40 hrs the boomy went away, 50-60 (15 hrs hard rock at 90+ dB) miss opened up and after another 10 hrs or so, no more break up of highs. The speaker completely changed and is great, competes with way more expensive speakers, are a cool retro design and delivers a nice full range sound. They are also very transparent in they sound different with every amp I have, I think so far, my old Marantz 2225 stereo receiver sounds the best!
