Ordered the 608 on Apr.19, received May 5.
I researched the 608 extensively, this is our second receiver in 20 years. It is very adaptable with older equipment, RCA vcr, Sony 200 disc changer. The 608 has eliminated 4 remotes. No need to by a universal remote for us.
The 608 drives a Polk RM7 surround speaker system more than adequately.
Overall I would recommend the 608 based on sound performance, ease of set up, features and cost.
This replaces a Sony HTIB DAV-DX155, Kenwood KR-A4040 and Yamaha speakers/sub.
