Much better finish than expected. All steel with reasonable/good "piano black" finish. Stands are fairly tippy as base should be a little wider and difficult to level on floor but achievable with sufficient trys. Tubes ring a lot. However and despite having welded nuts one can easily get the granular kitty litter into the big tube and even little tubes with a small funnel, you will need to seal the bases and the cable hiding holes in one of the small tubes. The gap with the welded nut is so small some sealant/adhesive can easily work on smalls but the large will need a physical blocker like plastic cut/jammed into it but allowing the bolt through. Simple and easy solution here. Tubes filled half way with kitty litter stopped the ringing. Even with this added weight they were still tippy-ish despite being heavy enough they shouldn't have been. Certainly find for locations not in traffic zones. Steel plate for speaker mounting comes with thin crappy type feet that will only/barely protect finish and not adhere or dampen sound but is easily drillable with a metal type bit if your speakers have mounting bolts. I suggest plenty of "blu stick" type putty adhesive to help adhere the speaker and dampen the vibrations which is advailable at business supply stores. Overall excellent looking and with a little bit of additional effort excellent speaker stand and in its 36" version a near perfect stand for home theather surround rear/side speaker placement. Considering the price deficiencies are minor. Shipped quickly.
