This is based on first impressions since I just received and set up the TV. It does what I expected based on the advertised specifications. First, the rear panel: it has all the input/outputs you will need for any application. They are well laid out and clearly marked versus some TV's where the labels are molded into the black plastic and difficult to read. Next, setup: the TV takes you through a simple to follow and use set-up wizard at which time you can set up various options, universal remote, Smart-TV options, Wi-Fi connectivity, all of which you can access after the fact via the menu system. Picture quality is outstanding, even with strong overhead lighting (this one is set up in a studio with very bright lighting). As for sound, if you require loud stereo or sound-surround sound, I reccomend an external sound system as the onboard speakers are only adequate for casual listening, but that is about standard for just any TV these days. One thing to note, make sure you select the correct wall stand for this unit. I order a very good quality wall stand (Monster FSM ST PIV-M Flat Screen Superthin Pivot Mount), but it turned out not to be fully compatible with this TV given the style of mounting bracket. The lower bracket is too long for this TV and covered the electrical plug on one end and the AV I/O jacks at the other end. To save myself some grief, I simplly reduced the length of the bracket so it would fit.
