Breville BDC450 Precision Brewer Thermal Coffee Machine

Makes excellent coffee. I switched to this from a different SCAA certified brewer (Behmor Brazen) which was also very good, and lasted me 3 years. But that brewer wasn't versatile enough to make smaller servings of coffee well, it only did 4-8 cups well. This brewer is great because you can do 12 cups or a single cup and the water bloom and pulse time adjusts accordingly. This means the coffee is consistently great. I mostly just use the 'Gold' setting, I haven't yet tinkered with the custom settings. I do wish there was a way to see what the 'Gold' settings actually are, so I had a baseline for making custom adjustments. I've had it a couple months and no problems so far. You can use the flat-bottom filter it comes with for large pots, but if you're making less than 8 cups it's better to use the cone shaped basket. It doesn't include cone filters, so i use either a paper #4, or my metal Kone filter from my Chemex, which fits in the brewer perfectly.
