Klipsch RP-500 Reference Premier 5.25" Monitor/Bookshelf (Pair) BLACK

I added these as rear surrounds for a 7.2.4 system. Are they overkill for this, yes they really are. But I figured they would match the 5.25 woofers on the surrounds and the center (502s and 504c). I started off testing these out in 2 channel stereo and they were smooth, very clear and dynamic. I tested against the RP-8000f. The only thing these lack are some of the Dynamics of the floor standing speakers and bass response. But not really fair considered one RP-8000 costs as much as the pair of these bookshelf's. Add a subwoofer and these would make a great left and right front speaker. Wanted the RP-600m but glad I got these. Way overkill already and a bit smaller. Listening with full surround these add a lot to the system and match all of the other klipsch speakers. My dream setup and happy I got these instead of some cheap back speakers. Looks are impressive and they are powered by a Denon AVR X4500. When in 2 channel it was an Emotiva Differential stereo amp with 550w of powers. The speakers are efficient so no need for anything more than an AVR unless you are really critical for listening with records of FLAC files. For MP3s and movies these are great speakers. Only thing you get with the RP-600m over these would be better dynamics and bass response. Not really important for a surround speaker (not like your main left and right speakers). This completes my setup, very happy with them. I had 7.2.4 before the Klipsch and these speakers punch above their price point (even before sales).
