FiiO M9 Touch Screen Hi-Res Player Bluetooth 4.2 aptX/aptX-HD LDAC DSD & 2x AK4490EN DAC

This is my second FiiO M9 from Electronics For Less...Great service and fast delivery. EFLC forgot to include the bonus case..and after contacting them..it was sent out by courier and arrived the next day....another example of their great customer care.
I am quite pleased with the FiiO M9...a few minor issues but nothing too critical to stop me from recommending it.

The M9 is underpowered for a lot of use cases and what its advertised for imo. Be sure to read about pros and cons and watch videos of the UI in action to make sure it fits your use case. I was ultimately disappointed in my M9 and wish I'd gone for the M11 or a different brand instead, but was outside the 14 day return policy and proved too costly. The sluggish UI and low BT volume output are my primary complaints and you will find those complaints many places on the web. I have to apply significant preamp to many files to get loud enough BT volume on 3 separate BT headsets, so it tells me the issue is the M9 as those same headsets get plenty loud on other decices with the same source files. I do like its small size and audio performance via wired headphones though. Ultimately, if you can deal with some delays on the UI, and plan to use wired headsets over BT, then its a decent option, albeit a bit expensive for what it is imo. Just don't expect a smartphone like snappy experience.

I have settled on using mine as a stopgap for a year or two until I eventually upgrade.

Great DAP from FiiO...I currently own 6 different models...this is my favourite (so far)....followed by the M6. The family of X series models still work horses. Purchased at a special reduced price point of $279...worth every penny. The order was quickly fulfilled by ELFC...many thanks.

I'm still learning as this is my first Hi Res player. I really like it so far. Well made and solid feeling. Great battery life,great sound. Apps are great with white listed 3rd party apps available. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and EFLC as a reseller

5/5 because it does what it's supposed to do - very good audio quality. Battery life is great, interface is good as well. The only slight complaint is the volume adjustment dial, I would rather have a nice analog volume potentiometer. Apart from that, M9 has an excellent dual DAC and opamps, giving it a very pleasant and musical sound.

Decent interface. I am using a 400 MB Card with it. Loaded about 10000+ songs onto it. I think the OS is having issues with the size. I imagine if I went 128, I wouldn't have some of the issues I have when I am on shuffle mode. System sometimes hangs. Great sound. Sleek design.

Very nice & good player but not as fast as the old classic iPod. Bluetooth pairing works like a charm. Sound is wonderful when paired with good earphones or speakers. The option of 3.5 & 2.5mm jack line is a nice plus. This player is one of the most versatile & best sound quality on the market at this price range & even compare to more expensive DAC player.
