A nice sharp looking TV stand with decent ventilation and enough shelf space, especially if you are going to use it in conjunction with a wall mounted TV.
If you plan on placing a large TV on it, be sure to check the total width of your TV legs. I was undecidedly and hypothetically planning on placing a 65” Sony X950H on it. The legs are 14” wide however the smaller top shelf is not safely and adequately wide enough for this. Shelf width is a 14 ¾” flat surface + 7/8” beveled edge across the entire front.
I am very happy with the X950H wall mounted above this AV stand and was never thrilled with the idea of a $2000 TV sitting on any glass table top.
If placing it on carpet, I would consider setting up the AV receiver on the bottom shelf (especially if centered) with as much required wiring and cables in place before installing the middle shelf above it.
A shout out to Joshua at (Electronics for Less Canada) who was always very helpful. I spoke with him on the phone and on a couple of occasions where he was very quick to respond to my emails.
Delivery of product was quick, the courier who delivered it was good. Stand came as one assembled piece plus the 3 separately wrapped glass shelves.
I have less flattering words to say about the distributor/supplier in BC who shipped this product to me directly from their warehouse of behalf of EFLC and I don’t blame EFLC for this and in fact this is the 1st time they are being made aware of my complaint about their supplier and the state of the glass shelves.
This TV stand was clearly previously returned to the distributor in less than new condition and there was obvious evidence of this.
There were; scratches on all 3 glass shelves, the largest one is arch shaped and probably around 9” long. It was located center on the bottom shelf where possibly an AV receiver or other object was pivoted/rotated when moving it.
There was no protective plastic film on any of the glass panels to help prevents scratches. Two of the glass shelves had a complete hand print on them with entire palms and finger impressions. The glass shelves themselves were wrapped in repurposed electronics equipment cardboard with one shelf having the raised protruding sides of 8 cardboard staples right against the glass at one end.
I know I am very late in bringing the suppliers short comings to (EFLC) attention at I bought it Nov. 1 2020 but due to extenuating circumstances it did not happen earlier. Thought it important that I submit this feedback.
I had fairly major surgery 1 month before I took delivery of my TV and this AV stand the very next day. The TV stand glass shelves were not unpacked for about 3-4 weeks after delivery as we had a painter returning to our home to touch up our freshly painted basement walls and baseboards after they were unavoidably scuffed in some places with installation of carpet in the entire basement.
We left the shelves protected and wrapped in the cardboard where they could be safely be stood up on their sides against a wall and not laying around flat on the floor where they could be stepped on.
Also we installed the wall mount before getting around to setting up the AV stand.
Love the look of this TV stand. Given the circumstances I was grateful the shelves were not cracked or chipped when I finally unpacked them.
Also I was fortunate enough to get one of the last one’s in stock as they went out of stock the day I ordered it. Likely would have bought it with the scratched glass if I knew it was the only one available.
