I purchased this to replace a B&W PV1D. This unit was 6+ years old, and the amplifier blew up and was going to cost $1000+ to repair. The SVS SB-2000 was half the price and is outperforming the PV1D by a wide margin. The fit and finish are excellent, and the online SVS product support was first-rate. They gave me a detailed set up process that is producing a great sound. I had previously purchased an SVS SB-1000 for a 2:1 set up in my den that has also exceeded my expectations. Both products perform impressively, and for the price are a great value. Highly recommend!

Excellent extension, plays low, great output. Have this in a monster size open concept living/kitchen//dinning room with 14 ft vaulted ceiling and still get excellent output. Very hard to beat for the money.

Vary powerful, tight and fast as well as musical. Nice finish on the cabinet.

I have a 2-channel system using (2) R-S700 100w (RMS) Yamaha Receivers, (2) Wall-mounted Bose 901s, (2-older) Image Concept 200 Towers and (2) Polk Audio Rti-A9 towers. I’m using a moderately priced CD player and vinyl for music.

Primary use is an 80/20 split between listening to music and enjoying a movie.

There is an LFE port on the Yamaha but NO menu-driven Bass Management. Instead it uses a 90Hz Low-Pass (12 dB slope) out to the Sub so I took advantage of that rather than using the PRE-IN/MAIN-OUT configuration available on the Yamaha. The Crossover on the Sub is shut off so the 90 Hz and lower signals are handled through the Receiver only.

I started with what I thought should be a decent sub ($800.00) that basically thumped loudly and had muddy-sounding bass, particularly for music playback. The next one I bought wasn’t much better ($1100.00) and after that trying to dial in that one, I forgot about Subs for a while and it sat disconnected for several months until it was sold.

My room isn’t overly large (1800 cubic feet) and I thought I would try a Sub one more time. I decided on an SVS SB-2000 piano-black unit which wasn’t too big for the space. After 10 minutes of doing the Subwoofer-Crawl, I put it in place and put on my go-to reference CD.

The Bass is tight, pure and powerful and once it was dialed in (very easy and quick) it created an audio atmosphere of power and authority for both my music and home theatre that really WAS missing before; I just didn’t realize it.

The volume on the Sub is turned up to the point where it acts as a supplement only. It blends seamlessly with the rest of the speakers and calls no attention to itself. That is just the way I like it. But it can be turned up to foundation-cracking levels if ever wanted.

WOW, what an incredible Sub this turned out to be!

A well-recorded CD or vinyl album is something to behold!

Great sounding subwoofer for music. The small size and great sound make this the best choice for an outstanding subwoofer

This SVS SB2000 is amazing. The base that it produces while watching movies or listening to music is unmatched. This sub is a great addition to my home theatre. I am extremely happy with this purchase.
