This unit is very solid, well designed, and fairly easy to assemble. The instructions are good and I was done in about an hour or so. All of the exterior components are a dark stained finish with some red undertones so "Espresso" may not the best way to describe the colour. The interior components (shelves, bottom, back) have a dark brown melamine finish that does not exactly match the rest of the unit however it is all behind the glass so you will never notice the slight variation. The bottom and middle shelves are vented which is great for keeping your components cool. The doors and drawer are self closing (or slow closing) however the drawer unit was jamming up and I had to remove the self closing mechanism. Overall a great unit that will hold all of your A/V components and more.
