Audio-Technica AT-VM610xMONO Dual Moving Magnet Phono Cartridge
The Audio-Technica AT-VM610xMONO is purpose-built for accurate playback of mono records, delivering a focused, low-noise sound image with excellent tonal balance. Part of the AT-VMx series, this cartridge uses a 0.6 mil conical bonded stylus designed to track the center of mono grooves reliably while minimizing surface noise and record wear.
Unlike stereo cartridges, the AT-VM610xMONO electrically sums the left and right channels and connects its dual magnets to produce a true mono signal. This design significantly reduces unwanted noise and improves clarity when playing vintage and modern mono pressings. Optimized PCUHD copper coils with reduced turns enhance transient response and musical realism, while the low-resonance body and aluminum cantilever ensure stable, consistent tracking.
