The Pro-Ject E1.2 is the next generation of the E-Line turntable, designed to deliver true hi-fi vinyl playback at an accessible price. Handmade in Europe, the E1.2 focuses on sound quality, precision engineering, and ease of use, making it an ideal entry point into serious analog listening.
Thanks to Pro-Ject’s Plug & Play setup, the tracking force and anti-skating are factory pre-adjusted by experienced technicians. That means no setup stress—just connect, place a record on the platter, and enjoy clean, stable playback right out of the box.
A major upgrade over the original E1, the E1.2 features a newly developed 730g die-cast aluminum platter. This heavier, precision-balanced platter improves speed stability, reduces resonance, and creates a more solid foundation for accurate stylus tracking and improved musical detail.
The factory-installed Pick it MM E cartridge delivers warm, smooth sound with excellent tracking accuracy. Its low-mass neodymium generator and conical diamond stylus reduce background noise while preserving musical character, making it a great match for long listening sessions.
At the heart of the E1.2 is a carefully engineered 8.6” aluminum tonearm with a carbon-reinforced headshell. A precision gimbal bearing system ensures smooth, stable movement, while the oversized counterweight improves balance and bass control for cleaner, more dynamic playback.
The rigid plinth is CNC-machined from a composite fiber material with no hollow spaces, minimizing vibration and coloration. Finished in either high-gloss black or walnut, the E1.2 combines refined aesthetics with the kind of construction usually found in more expensive turntables.
