Fiio-E12

The E12 is the latest addition to Fiio's range of portable headphone amplifiers. The Mont Blanc E12, as it is popularly known as, is a powerful analog amplifier that comes encased in a sturdy aluminum chassis. It can drive almost all of the "power-hungry" headphones including the ones that have planar magnetic circuit. This easy-to-charge headphone amp lasts for almost 12 hours, driving your headphones at their full potential, and comes with controls that help you refine the sound output.

Professional Grade OPAMP Circuit:

The Fiio-E12 features a combination of two OPAMPs, OPA1611 and LME49600, that help in delivering unmatchable sound quality and non-zero distortion at 0.000015%. The OPA1611 is the main amplifier that improves the sound quality, while the LME49600 serves as a currency outputting circuit.

Reinvented OPAMP Design:

The OPAMP circuit takes inspiration from the classic design that has been innovated to match the technological advancements of the modern times. The operational amplifier and the buffer work together work together to achieve the perfect equilibrium between high-fidelity sound and lasting sturdiness. Other handpicked audio components like the WIMA capacitor, ALPS potentiometer and a high-frequency, low-impedance battery, work together to make the E12 a lower-resistance, low-distortion headphone amplifier and deliver the most satisfying acoustic output.

High Voltage Power Supply:

The Fiio Mont Blanc E12 is powered by a built-in Lithium Ion battery with 9.7 Wh capacity. This battery contains three cascaded units and supplies +11V voltage. The DC/DC transformer circuits delivers the negative polarity voltage, -11V, making the total working voltage to be 22V. This total power is used to deliver the high performance, for which E12 was intended, and it also helps in driving performance headphones with large impedance values. The total power output provided by the E12 is as high as 850mW.

Versatile Charging:

The built-in Li-ion battery of the E12 can be easily changed with the help of a 14V adapter. It gives the provision of recharging the batteries with the help of a USB port of your computer or laptop. The in-built circuit boosts the 5V supply of the USB port to 14V for efficient battery charging. The charging currency is automatically adjusted to the value that can charge the battery in the least amount of time.

User Friendly Operation:

The aluminum chassis of the E12 houses all the essential controls and ports that you might need to personalize the audio output of the amplifier. The lowed end features two 3.5mm audio ports, one for the input from a media device and one headphone output and the ALPS potentiometer volume knob, which has been carefully designed to give a comfortable feel when used. A respiration lamp indicates the speed of charging, while the battery low light tells you when you need to plug in the device.
On one side, the crossfeed on/off button and the gain on/off button are present, while the other side houses the micro USB port for charging the battery and the bass boost on/off button.
