I wanted to upgrade my system from 5.1 to 5.1.2. Due to the room's construction, I could not install ceiling speakers and wasn't interested in Atmos speakers that sit on top of my fronts or surrounds. After chatting with a SVS rep, I purchased a pair of Elevations that I mounted about 1.5 feet in front of the main listening position on the side walls, close to the ceiling and facing each other. The included instructions, mounting bracket, and hardware made installation a breeze. The improvement in audio was substantial. The speakers never drew unwanted attention to themselves and sounded fantastic. They blended quite well with my existing speakers and new receiver. For anyone wanting to upgrade to Atmos with the Elevation, don't hesitate. I ordered these speakers on a Wednesday and received them the next day!

That was the first time of owning a product from SVS and my initial impression has been positive. I intend to use them as height speakers in a 7.2.4 home theatre setup but at present, I have hooked them to a micro hifi system to burn in the speakers while waiting for other Home Theatre gear to arrive. A nice surprise out of this temporary setup shows these speakers are very easy to drive. Here are some fine points about this product: 1. Indeed, they are full range speakers as the base is punchy considered its size. They are not real Dolby Atmos height speakers which are a real plus. Don't attempt to place them on top of the front speakers as they don't work properly that way. (Dolby Atmos height speakers boost a certain frequency in order to make the reflection works) 2. The speakers are well made. Good construction with solid material. One thing to notice is for the black ash version, you will see a faint seam right in the middle of the bottom of the speakers. It is not noticeable from a normal placement and so it is not a concern. I suspect the gloss black version won't have the seam because they are real paint and hence it costs extra. The surface of the black ash is vinyl.

As with all SVS the quality of this speaker is excellent. The mounting hardware provided makes installation seamless and easy. I went with the Ash as I do not want to spend a lot of time wiping them down. The sound is immediately noticeable. Have them at 8 Ft ceiling and about 15 feet away from center area.

Already had a pair of these for the front atmos and now these two are for the back atmos in a 5.1.4 setup.These speakers are as avertised...watched all the reviews on utube before purchase and convinced these are the way to go.Shipping was fast and eflc was good to deal with. Thay are now my main suppier !
