This transport - inexplicably - works magic in my system, despite replacing an already excellent dedicated CD transport that was needed in my family room. With it in place, there are simply more goosebumps in the music! Overall tone is warmer, yet plenty of details, including sounds I never heard before on familiar CDs, such as fingers moving on guitar and bass strings, and trumpet taps moving too. I was so astonished that I asked the folks at Audiolab how to explain it, and they simply put it down to their history of knowing what DACs need to work best, because of their DAC design experience.
