I'm very happy with the receiver the sound is crisp and responsive and ample bass if needed. I love the wifi and blue tooth. Wish I got the higher up model but for the price can't be beat and the customer service at electronics foe less was awesome. Thanks

Awesome amp...I still haven't utilized all of the features! Speaker terminals at rear are a bear to hookup...I would have preferred spring loaded terminals. Lots of power for my home theater!

I go back 40 years with Onkyo. It's a stalwart brand whose priority has always been bang for the buck (Pioneer is in that league as well). I run a no-frills 5.1 setup. I chose the NR626 (to replace an otherwise competent Denon receiver) for its network connectivity and its slightly beefier amps. No bells or whistles. It gets the job done and it sounds more "present" than did its predecessor. You'll find receivers that are more "stylish" than the Onkyo, but few, if any, will compete on value for the money.
