The sound is fantastic to my ears. The ability to listen to thousands of AM and FM stations and free internet music services around the world is amazing. The menus allow you to zero in on the type of station or music you want. It is important that your router be strong enough to send a good signal throughout your home and into the areas outside like the patio or poolside. I bought a Boost to ensure a consistently strong signal throughout my home. For those who are weak on navigating computers and smart phones, there are definitely some challenges to figure out how to use the interfaces and the menus. I didn't find a full paper manual in the box. There was a fairly brief "how to get started" pamphlet. It is more than sufficient to set up the system quickly. I downloaded to my desktop a full users manual from the Sonos website. It is very big but so far I have managed without reading it. My wife is not good with operating computer devices. I took her through the steps. She says it is quite complicated for someone like her who is used to an "on/off" stereo/radio. Eventually I will buy a second PLAY:5 and pair them up to get true stereo separation. I love this system.

I ordered 2 of these Play:5 units and my neighbours currently hate me. Quick and easy to setup and phenomenal power and sound quality.

This is an excellent speaker. Much better then Bose in my opinion. The wireless setup is very easy and the amount of features that it supports for network audio or online music is far better than anything else I have seen on the market. For those that did not know, the 5 in Play:5 stands for the 5 speakers in the device. So the Play:3 has 3 speakers. This product is however on the higher priced speakers. However I felt that it was worth it. I'll be slowly purchasing more and building my collection to have each room in my house covered. For my larger rooms I'll set up two Play:5's and make them a stereo pair and maybe even get the new Sub.
