I had the older 2000 ! and still ave it, but the new version is a step up, its still to short a time to give you a good evaluation, but it sounds very good!!
Switched to this sub once my old JL Fathom (V1) died. Not quite as punchy but definitely a very good product at its price range. Works well in a 5.1 setup with clear bass. In a larger space I can understand why people would consider getting 2.
