Ordered SVS speakers from Electronics for Less Canada. Had the good fortune to received the Prime ULTRA speakers in error instead of the Prime Bookshelf speakers. I had tried them out before realising that I was listening to the ULTRA model. They were absolutely astonishing in clarity, tone, and stereo imagining for both music and for our home theatre. We decided to upgrade and keep the Ultra speakers as we couldn't imagine opting for the lower model after hearing the Ultras. After 5 months of using these we are still impressed and enjoy them daily. Now saving for the SVS centre speaker. I started with the SVS PB-1000 Subwoofer and now working towards a complete 5.1 SVS speaker setup. While very happy with the SVS speakers we were equally impressed with the rapid delivery and customer service from Electronics for less Canada and plan on purchasing from them again.
These speakers are amazing and worth every penny!Excellent clarity,sound stage,imaging and base is very good.
Living in a smaller center there are no high end audio shops where I can go to listen to stereo systems. I purchased these SVS Ultra bookshelf speakers solely based on on line reviews.
I have them connected to a Marantz HD Amp 1, and source HiRes audio files. The sound is amazing from a speaker this size. Excellent separation, and full soundstage.
I am augmenting the base with a Cambridge MinX 200 sub woofer with the crossover set to the lowest hZ. The SVS speakers provide excellent base on their own, the sub just fills in the lowest range for a bit richer sound.
