This is "THE" remote to purchase if you can afford it. I also own 3 other Harmony remotes, all of which are absolutely fantastic but this 1100 takes the cake. The versatility of this device due to the larger screen giving way to more functions being available at your fingertip is second to none. The interaction with the software online is a key aspect to understand and ask questions about if you have issues/concerns during setup. Logitech have done a great job with the setup structure but have a few things to stream line within the online tool to make it just that much easier for a beginner to novice user to zip through a setup. I have no issue recommending this remote to every user wondering if this device is for them. Also consider the RF Extender when purchasing this remote, yet another great product.

Stop looking at other remotes! This is the ONE! It was easy enough to program once you get the idea of how the on-line tool works. I can't believe how friendly this unit can be. My wife is a comple luddite when it comes to understanding home theater integration and she can operate the entire system easily with the Harmony 1100. I even programmed all of her favorite channels with their respective icon, no need to remember the channel numbers. The display is bright and clear. All programming is context driven so there is never any confusion on how to access what you need. The help on the unit is active, I got into trouble while fooling around and I got the home theatre desynchronized. The help simply asks a few questions, takes action and so on until the system is back to normal. The unit will go an entire week without a charge. I give this unit a 9.5 out of 10.
