Luxsin X8 Visual & Remote Kit
The Luxsin X8 Visual & Remote Kit is a factory upgrade accessory designed specifically for the Luxsin X8 Intelligent DAC & Headphone Amplifier. The kit replaces the X8's original top panel with a premium tempered-glass cover while adding the dedicated Luxsin infrared remote control that is offered as an optional accessory for the X8.
The transparent top cover provides a clear view of the X8's internal electronics while retaining electromagnetic shielding through a specialized film bonded to the inner surface of the glass. The included IR remote adds convenient control from across the room, making the kit both a visual and functional upgrade for the X8.
Tempered Glass Top Cover
The replacement cover is manufactured from smartphone-screen-grade tempered glass with an opaque black border and an etched Luxsin wordmark. It replaces the original X8 top panel using the existing mounting points and sits flush with the chassis without changing the amplifier's footprint or ventilation.
Once installed, the transparent panel provides a direct view of the X8's internal architecture, including its dual-mono circuitry, eight Cirrus Logic CS43198 DACs, individual component shielding and separated linear power-supply sections.
Electromagnetic Shielding
Unlike an ordinary glass panel, the X8 replacement cover incorporates an electromagnetic shielding film on its inner surface. The film is designed to retain the shielding function normally provided by a solid metal enclosure while allowing the internal circuitry to remain visible.
The bonded shielding film is temperature-cycle tested to provide a clean, bubble-free finish designed to resist peeling over time.
Dedicated Luxsin IR Remote
The included infrared remote provides convenient control of the X8 without requiring access to its touchscreen, mobile app or browser interface. The matte black handset provides dedicated controls for power, display, playback, navigation, mute, input selection and volume.
Two remote-control functions can be customized through the X8's General Settings > Key Settings menu. The menu key can be configured for input-source or filter-characteristic switching, while the power key can be configured for mute or DIM operation.
Simple Installation
The glass cover is designed as a direct replacement for the factory X8 top panel. Installation requires only the supplied hex key and uses the X8's existing mounting points, with no soldering or internal electronic modifications required.
- Use the supplied hex key to remove the two top-panel screws.
- Lift the original top cover upward and tilt it backward to release it.
- Tilt the glass replacement cover forward and seat the front edge.
- Lower the glass cover into position.
- Reinstall and tighten the two retaining screws.
