The second-generation Kanto Living YU4 Passive delivers powerful, balanced sound from a compact bookshelf speaker designed for use with your choice of external amplifier or receiver. Sold as a pair, YU4 Passive works equally well in a traditional two-channel stereo system, desktop listening setup or as adaptable channels in a home theater system.
Each speaker combines a crisp 1-inch silk dome tweeter with a 4-inch Abaca-reinforced paper cone woofer. The combination delivers smooth, airy highs, full-bodied midrange and punchy bass extending down to 60 Hz. Re-engineered drivers provide greater clarity and a warm, balanced character designed for comfortable all-day listening.
YU4 Passive gives you complete freedom over amplification. Each speaker handles 55 W RMS and 80 W peak power, providing a combined 110 W RMS / 160 W peak power handling per pair into a nominal 4-ohm load.
Rigid MDF cabinets help minimize unwanted resonance, while seamless silicone trim rings around the drivers provide a clean appearance and help reduce acoustic edge diffraction. Premium 4-way knurled binding posts provide secure speaker connections, and integrated 1/4"-20 threaded mounting holes make the speakers suitable for compatible speaker stands and mounting solutions.
