At its core is Teac’s proprietary TRDD5 discrete DAC, delivering expansive soundstage and precise imaging. The dual-monaural headphone amplifier uses TEAC-HCLD2 high-current line driver circuitry, producing up to 1 200 mW per channel (balanced into 100 Ω), sufficient for most demanding headphones. Gain is selectable (Low/Mid/High), optimising matches for various headphone sensitivities and impedances.
The unit functions as a full-featured preamplifier with five digital inputs (USB‑C front, USB‑B rear, coaxial, optical, Bluetooth) and two analog inputs (RCA, balanced XLR). Analog volume control is handled by the TEAC-QVCS high-precision attenuator, offering ultra‑fine 0.5 dB steps. Support for MQA decoding, DSD up to 22.5 MHz, and PCM up to 384 kHz enables wide-format playback flexibility. A 10 MHz external clock input supports master-clock synchronization.
