Sonos Beam Ultra 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos Smart Soundbar BLACK

The Sonos Beam Ultra brings immersive 7.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos sound to a compact soundbar designed for modern home entertainment systems. Featuring nine precisely engineered drivers, including two dedicated upward-firing tweeters, the Beam Ultra creates a spacious soundstage with convincing overhead effects, detailed music reproduction and powerful bass. Its compact design makes it particularly well suited to televisions up to 65 inches and small to medium-sized listening rooms.

Powered by nine Class D digital amplifiers, the Beam Ultra combines five tweeters and four low-profile woofers to deliver a balanced and engaging listening experience. A dedicated centre-channel arrangement and four levels of AI Speech Enhancement help reproduce dialogue clearly, even during demanding movie soundtracks. Trueplay room tuning automatically adjusts the soundbar's acoustic performance to suit the listening environment.

With HDMI eARC, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and Apple AirPlay 2, the Beam Ultra supports convenient TV audio, wireless music streaming and integration with compatible Sonos multi-room systems. Its matte Black finish, streamlined enclosure and intuitive touch controls complement contemporary entertainment spaces, while the Sonos app provides comprehensive control over sound settings, music services and system expansion.

Immersive 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos Sound

The Beam Ultra delivers a 7.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos presentation using nine custom-engineered drivers and advanced audio processing. Unlike soundbars that rely entirely on virtualized height effects, the Beam Ultra incorporates two dedicated upward-firing tweeters that project sound toward the ceiling to create genuine overhead audio effects.

This configuration enhances the sense of space and direction in compatible Dolby Atmos movie soundtracks, television programs and music recordings. Sound effects can move around and above the listening position, producing a more engaging home theatre experience without requiring a large collection of separate loudspeakers.

Nine-Driver Acoustic Architecture

The Beam Ultra features nine drivers powered by nine individually tuned Class D digital amplifiers. Five tweeters reproduce high- and mid-frequency detail, including a forward-firing centre tweeter for focused dialogue, two horn-loaded side-firing tweeters for stereo separation and two upward-firing tweeters for Dolby Atmos height effects.

Four low-profile woofers provide the low-frequency foundation, producing controlled bass and a fuller sound than conventional television speakers. Together, the drivers create a wide and detailed soundstage within the soundbar's compact enclosure.

AI Speech Enhancement

Sonos AI Speech Enhancement is designed to improve dialogue intelligibility by helping separate spoken voices from music, effects and background sounds. Four selectable enhancement levels allow listeners to adjust speech clarity according to the content and their preferences.

Whether watching dialogue-heavy dramas, action movies, documentaries or late-night television, AI Speech Enhancement helps make conversations easier to follow without requiring constant volume adjustments.

Trueplay Room Tuning

Trueplay analyzes the acoustic characteristics of the listening environment and adjusts the soundbar's output for more balanced reproduction. By accounting for room reflections, furniture and speaker placement, Trueplay helps optimize the performance of the Beam Ultra for its surroundings.

Additional sound adjustments are available through the Sonos app, including bass and treble controls, loudness settings, Speech Enhancement and Night Sound.

Night Sound for Comfortable Listening

Night Sound reduces the intensity of loud effects while maintaining audibility during quieter passages. This feature is useful when watching television or movies at reduced volume, particularly during evening listening when sudden loud soundtrack effects may be disruptive.

Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 Connectivity

Built-in Wi-Fi 6 provides wireless connectivity to a compatible home network, allowing the Beam Ultra to stream music and participate in a Sonos multi-room audio system. Support for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks offers flexible integration with modern wireless routers.

Bluetooth 5.3 enables direct audio streaming from compatible Bluetooth devices, while Apple AirPlay 2 allows playback from supported Apple products. Music can also be managed through the Sonos app and supported streaming services.

HDMI eARC and Television Integration

The Beam Ultra connects directly to a compatible television's HDMI eARC or ARC port using the included HDMI cable. HDMI eARC supports high-quality multichannel audio formats, including compatible Dolby Atmos content, while HDMI-CEC enables convenient control using a compatible television remote.

For televisions without HDMI ARC or eARC, an optional Sonos optical audio adapter is available separately. Dolby Atmos playback requires compatible source equipment, content and connections.

Expandable Sonos Home Theatre System

The Beam Ultra can form the foundation of a larger Sonos home theatre installation. Compatible Sonos subwoofers can be added to extend bass performance, while compatible Sonos speakers can be configured as wireless surrounds for a more enveloping listening experience.

It also integrates with compatible Sonos multi-room speakers, allowing music to play throughout different areas of the home. Supported Sonos headphones can be used with TV Audio Swap to transfer television audio from the soundbar for private listening.

Voice and Touch Controls

The Beam Ultra includes a far-field microphone array with beamforming and multichannel echo cancellation to support compatible voice functions. Sonos Voice Control provides hands-free operation, while a physical microphone switch allows microphone power to be disconnected when voice functions are not wanted.

Capacitive touch controls provide direct access to volume adjustment, playback, track navigation and other supported functions. A dedicated Bluetooth button simplifies pairing with compatible devices.

USB-C Expansion and Flexible Installation

A USB-C connection supports additional connectivity through optional Sonos adapters. The Sonos Line-In Adapter allows connection of a compatible analog audio source, while the Sonos Combo Adapter provides wired Ethernet connectivity. These accessories are sold separately.

Measuring 750 mm (29.53 inches) wide, 65 mm (2.56 inches) high and 105 mm (4.13 inches) deep, the Beam Ultra fits neatly beneath compatible televisions. It may also be wall-mounted using the optional Sonos Beam Ultra Wall Mount, sold separately.
