This innovative configuration allows the enclosure to be more than one-third smaller than a comparable conventional design while maintaining or exceeding the driver excursion needed for powerful low-frequency reproduction. Twin 6.5-Inch Drivers with P-Flex Surrounds

The KC62 features two 6.5-inch drivers equipped with KEF's P-Flex pressure-resistant surrounds. Inspired by the folding principles of origami, the uniquely pleated surrounds are designed to resist the substantial internal air pressure generated within the sealed cabinet.

This specialized construction allows the drivers to move accurately without the excessive resistance associated with conventional surround designs. The result is improved bass extension, exceptional control and precise reproduction of demanding low-frequency passages.

KEF's Smart Distortion Control Technology employs an advanced sensorless feedback system that monitors current within the driver voice coils to identify and correct nonlinear distortion.

By continuously analyzing driver behaviour and applying corrective processing, the system can reduce total harmonic distortion by up to 75%, allowing the KC62 to reproduce bass with greater accuracy, clarity and natural tonal balance.

Music Integrity Engine with Intelligent Bass Extension

The KC62 incorporates KEF's proprietary Music Integrity Engine, a sophisticated collection of digital signal processing algorithms designed to optimize the relationship between the drivers, amplification and acoustic enclosure.

Intelligent Bass Extension (iBX) dynamically extends low-frequency performance, while SmartLimiter continuously analyzes the incoming signal to help prevent clipping and maintain controlled operation.
