KEF Kube 15 MIE 15" Powered Subwoofer 300W BLACK

The KEF Kube 15 MIE is a powerful, high-performance powered subwoofer designed to deliver deep, authoritative and precisely controlled bass for home theatre, music and gaming. Featuring a custom-engineered 15-inch front-firing long-throw driver, a 300-watt RMS Class D amplifier and KEF's proprietary Music Integrity Engine (MIE) digital signal processing, the Kube 15 MIE delivers substantial low-frequency output with exceptional control and installation flexibility.

As the largest model in the Kube MIE series, the Kube 15 MIE offers greater bass extension and output capability than its smaller counterparts. Its large 15-inch driver moves substantial amounts of air, providing the low-frequency impact required for demanding movie soundtracks, dynamic music and immersive gaming experiences.

KEF SmartConnect technology simplifies integration with stereo and home theatre systems, while three room placement EQ settings help optimize performance for different acoustic environments. Compatibility with the optional KEF KW1 wireless subwoofer adapter provides additional freedom when positioning the subwoofer within the listening space.

Music Integrity Engine Digital Signal Processing

The Kube 15 MIE incorporates KEF's proprietary Music Integrity Engine, a sophisticated collection of digital signal processing algorithms developed to optimize the interaction between the subwoofer's driver, amplifier and sealed cabinet.

Music Integrity Engine manages the acoustic performance of the complete subwoofer system, helping maintain accurate tonal balance, powerful dynamics and controlled low-frequency reproduction.

Drawing upon KEF's extensive experience in acoustic engineering, MIE optimizes the 15-inch driver's performance across a wide range of frequencies and listening levels.

iBX Intelligent Bass Extension

KEF's iBX Intelligent Bass Extension technology works within Music Integrity Engine to maximize bass extension and dynamic performance.

By continuously analyzing the incoming audio signal and making real-time adjustments, iBX helps the Kube 15 MIE reproduce deep bass with greater control while minimizing unwanted distortion.

This intelligent processing allows the subwoofer to handle demanding cinematic effects and powerful musical bass passages while maintaining precision and clarity.

15-Inch Front-Firing Long-Throw Driver

The Kube 15 MIE features a custom-engineered 15-inch (380mm) front-firing long-throw woofer designed to deliver substantial air displacement and powerful low-frequency output.

The large driver provides the acoustic capability required to reproduce deep cinematic effects, bass-heavy music and dynamic gaming soundtracks with authority.

Its front-firing configuration directs low-frequency energy into the listening environment, while the sealed enclosure helps maintain controlled and accurate bass reproduction.

300-Watt RMS Class D Amplification

A built-in 300-watt RMS Class D amplifier provides the power required to drive the Kube 15 MIE's large long-throw woofer.

The amplifier is optimized for the driver's characteristics and sealed enclosure, helping deliver consistent low-frequency performance and dynamic output.

Its efficient Class D architecture provides substantial amplification while minimizing unnecessary heat generation.

KEF SmartConnect Intelligent Inputs

KEF SmartConnect technology automatically detects whether a mono or stereo RCA connection is being used and adjusts input gain accordingly.

This intelligent feature simplifies integration with compatible AV receivers, stereo amplifiers and other audio equipment, helping maintain consistent subwoofer output without complicated manual configuration.

Flexible Line-Level and Speaker-Level Connectivity

The Kube 15 MIE supports both RCA line-level and speaker-level audio connections, allowing integration with a wide variety of stereo and home theatre systems.

RCA inputs support compatible AV receivers, preamplifiers and components with dedicated subwoofer or line-level outputs. Speaker-level inputs provide an alternative connection method for compatible amplifiers without dedicated subwoofer outputs.

This versatility makes the Kube 15 MIE suitable for both modern multichannel home theatre systems and traditional two-channel audio installations.

Optional KEF KW1 Wireless Connectivity

The Kube 15 MIE is compatible with the optional KEF KW1 wireless subwoofer adapter system, allowing wireless transmission of the audio signal from compatible source equipment.

Wireless connectivity can simplify installation by eliminating the need for a long signal cable between the audio system and subwoofer. The KEF KW1 wireless adapter is sold separately.

Three Room Placement EQ Settings

Three selectable room placement EQ settings allow the Kube 15 MIE to adapt to different installation environments and acoustic conditions.

These settings help compensate for the effects of positioning near walls, in corners or within suitable furniture cabinets, allowing more balanced and controlled bass reproduction across different room layouts.

Adjustable Low-Pass Filter and LFE Mode

An adjustable low-pass filter ranging from 40Hz to 140Hz allows the Kube 15 MIE to blend smoothly with compatible main loudspeakers.

A dedicated LFE setting provides integration with AV receivers and home theatre processors that manage bass crossover frequencies internally.

Flexible Power-On Modes

The Kube 15 MIE provides several power-on options for convenient system integration.

Music Sense mode automatically activates the subwoofer when an audio signal is detected, while Always On mode keeps it ready for immediate playback. A 12V trigger connection allows coordinated power operation with compatible home theatre components.

Sealed Acoustic Enclosure

The Kube 15 MIE features a sealed acoustic suspension enclosure engineered for accurate, controlled bass reproduction. Unlike a conventional ported subwoofer, the sealed cabinet does not rely on a bass-reflex opening to reinforce low-frequency output.

This construction helps maintain precise bass response for music and cinematic effects while providing flexibility when positioning the subwoofer within the listening space.

Designed for Larger Listening Spaces

With its large 15-inch driver and advanced bass processing, the Kube 15 MIE is particularly well suited to larger living rooms, dedicated home theatres and entertainment spaces where substantial low-frequency output is required.

Its combination of driver displacement, powerful amplification and intelligent DSP makes it an excellent choice for listeners seeking impactful bass without sacrificing accuracy and musical detail.
