This unit sounds good, plain and simple. Just don't expect the sub to sound good right out of the box. I set the dial on the back to about 3/4 way and had to adjust a few setting on my denon avr-591 to get the crisp clean bass that I was expecting. Now I am thouroughly satisfied. I had to eventually set the crossover frequency on my amp to 150hz for front and center speakers to get the "mid range" figured out. Sounds really good now.
