FiiO CLASS A Fully Discrete Class A Balanced Headphone Amplifier & Preamplifier SILVER

The FiiO CLASS A is a fully discrete Class A desktop headphone amplifier and stereo preamplifier designed for high-fidelity listening. Built using individually selected audio transistors and a fully balanced differential amplification architecture, it delivers up to 4,000 mW per channel into 32-ohm headphones through its balanced outputs.

The amplification circuit combines matched Toshiba audio transistors with Sanken Electric output transistors, with manually calibrated quiescent current for each channel. A custom 60-watt toroidal transformer and a 20,000 uF capacitor reservoir provide the stable linear power supply required by the Class A circuitry, helping maintain low noise, controlled bass and accurate transient reproduction.

Five selectable gain levels accommodate a wide range of headphones, while independent bass and treble controls provide up to +/-10 dB of adjustment. Three front-panel headphone outputs support 6.35 mm single-ended, 4.4 mm balanced and 4-pin XLR balanced connections. The amplifier also functions as a stereo preamplifier through its RCA and balanced XLR line outputs.

Part of FiiO's retro-inspired desktop HiFi component family, the CLASS A features a compact metal chassis, illuminated volume control and extensive analog connectivity. It can be paired with dedicated DACs, CD players, digital audio players and other compatible line-level audio sources.
