FiiO DM15 AKM Portable CD Player with Dual AK4493S DACs

The FiiO DM15 AKM brings portable CD playback into the modern Hi-Fi era with dual AKM AK4493S DACs, powerful balanced headphone amplification, high-resolution USB DAC functionality and advanced Bluetooth transmission. Its compact design combines a CD servo, USB DAC, decoding module, Bluetooth module and MCU control system into a versatile portable audio player.

Dual AK4493S DAC chips based on AKM's VELVET SOUND technology provide the foundation of the DM15 AKM's digital audio system. For headphone listening, both 3.5 mm single-ended and 4.4 mm balanced outputs are provided, with balanced output reaching at least 1100mW + 1100mW into 32 ohms when operating in Desktop Mode.

The DM15 AKM can also operate as a high-resolution USB DAC, supporting audio up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD256. Qualcomm QCC3086 Bluetooth provides wireless audio transmission with aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency and SBC codec support.

For preserving a CD collection digitally, compatible CD-DA tracks can be ripped directly to WAV files on FAT32-formatted external USB storage while the disc continues playing. FiiO recommends a USB-C flash drive with a capacity of 32GB or less for CD ripping and firmware updates.

A built-in 4700mAh battery provides at least 6 hours of rated CD playback and at least 9 hours of UAC operation under FiiO's test conditions. Three bass modes can be combined with eight built-in EQ presets for up to 24 sound combinations, with a dedicated RETRO preset also available.
