The Musical Fidelity X-Tube is the modern evolution of the legendary X10D β a pure Class A triode tube output buffer designed to dramatically improve both digital and analogue sources. Acting as an intermediary stage between your source and amplifier, the X-Tube enhances tonal richness, improves impedance matching, and unlocks the full analogue potential of modern streamers, DACs, CD players, and phono stages.
Using two E88CC (6922) triode tubes in a unique single-ended configuration, the X-Tube delivers the unmistakable warmth, depth, and dimensionality that tube circuitry is celebrated for β without adding measurable distortion or noise. Its high input impedance presents an easy load to source components, while its low output impedance confidently drives any amplifier input, ensuring maximum signal transfer and system stability.
Housed in Musical Fidelityβs signature extruded aluminum X-profile chassis, the X-Tube combines superior mechanical resonance control with a built-in internal power supply for clean installation and long-term reliability.
