FiiO M25 R2R Portable Hi-Res Digital Audio Player

The FiiO M25 R2R is a premium portable digital audio player combining FiiO's latest high-performance portable platform with its proprietary R2R PRO resistor-ladder digital-to-analogue conversion architecture. Developed as the successor to the M15S, the M25 R2R is designed for listeners seeking a natural, rich and expressive approach to high-resolution portable audio.

Unlike the conventional DAC architecture used in the standard M25, the M25 R2R employs FiiO's R2R PRO architecture. Its precisely controlled resistor network reconstructs the analogue waveform using an approach fundamentally different from conventional delta-sigma conversion, giving the R2R edition its own distinct sonic character within the M25 family.

FiiO has tuned the M25 R2R toward a warmer, more organic presentation with particular attention paid to vocal reproduction, tonal richness and natural musical flow. The design aims to retain clarity and fine detail while giving instruments and voices convincing body, texture and harmonic weight.

A Qualcomm 6490-series processing platform provides the performance required for responsive navigation, large local music libraries, high-resolution playback and compatible applications. Roon Ready support also allows the M25 R2R to operate as part of a compatible Roon-based music environment, extending its usefulness from portable headphone listening to home audio applications.
